Jerry Brodsky

Jerry Brodsky is the founder of Jerry Brodsky Legal, Professional Association. He is trilingual — English, Spanish and Portuguese — holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University, a J.D. from the University of Miami, magna cum laude, and is a Specialist in Construction Law, Board-Certified by The Florida Bar since 2006.

His practice includes counseling domestic and transnational contractors, construction managers, sureties and other construction-industry participants across the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean — in the preparation of contract documents, prevention, negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation of construction contract claims, construction and design defect claims, insurance claims, surety bond claims and related matters.

Jerry's experience spans transportation megaprojects and other infrastructure works, as well as industrial, energy, commercial and residential engineering and construction projects. He also provides training and counseling to domestic and transnational clients in contract negotiation, compliance, and the legal administration of projects and risk management.

He represents and advises project participants through the procurement, negotiation, execution, administration and post-completion phases of megaprojects, using both traditional delivery and project-finance and public-private partnership models. He also serves as an arbitrator and as a member of construction dispute resolution boards on infrastructure projects across Latin America, and was engaged to develop, implement and administer a dispute board program for the world sporting events held in Brazil in 2016.

He has served as Chair of the International Division of the American Bar Association's Forum on Construction Law, and as Secretary and President-Elect of the Executive Board of Directors of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation. He currently serves as President of the Executive Board of Directors of the DRBF.
